Areas of Tutoring

Support across the core mathematics and statistics sequence, from foundational topics through upper-year material.

Statistics & Probability

Descriptive statistics, sampling, estimation, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, regression, and ANOVA. Probability axioms, conditional probability, named distributions, joint and marginal distributions, expectation, variance, and the central limit theorem.

Calculus & Linear Algebra

Single and multivariable calculus: limits, derivatives, integration techniques, sequences and series, partial derivatives, and multiple integrals. Linear algebra: vector spaces, matrices, determinants, eigenvalues, and linear transformations.

Discrete Mathematics

Combinatorics and graph theory: counting principles, generating functions, recurrence relations, binary strings, plane trees, graph colourings, matchings, connectivity, and planarity.

Experience and Credentials

More than a decade of university teaching experience supports the breadth of subjects above.

  • Over a decade as a teaching assistant in mathematics and statistics at the university level, supporting students across a wide range of courses and difficulty levels.
  • More than ten years of private tutoring, working one-on-one with students on coursework, exam preparation, and conceptual review.
  • Education:
    • PhD in Statistics, University of Waterloo
